FOR MAKERS, PRINT FARMS & 3D-PRINTING SHOPS

01 / THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
Selling a customizable print can mean creating a separate product variation for every colour combination, collecting instructions in messages and translating those choices into a print job.
Set up the choices once. Your customers customize the product visually, and their selections stay connected to the order.
Eight choices for each of three parts means 512 possible combinations. Let those colour choices live in the configurator instead of manually creating a variant for every combination.
Native product variants still handle options such as size and base price. Text is a visual preview and production reference; printable embossed or debossed text geometry is not generated.
02 / THE COMPLETE WORKFLOW
Assign parts or painted colour regions. Save a Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer project 3MF.
The wizard processes the source, creates the storefront GLB and detects configurable parts.
Choose starting colours, customer choices and any optional product tools.
Review readiness, publish the wizard and create or link a WooCommerce product.
Customers explore the model and choose their colours before checkout.
Open its saved configuration, check colours and track the production deadline.
Export a customer-coloured project from a compatible original slicer 3MF.
Open the project in your slicer, review settings, slice and produce the order.
03 / YOUR STARTING POINT

The Dashboard brings product readiness, configured products, filament availability and model storage into one place.
Open recent wizards and see whether the model, parts and colour choices are ready for launch.
Check active colours, configured products, order counts, installed version and storage.
Export a wizard with its models and settings, then import the package into another installation.
04 / STOCK YOUR PALETTE
Set up your filament library before configuring a product. Your available colours become the choices in every Product Wizard.
Use the Brand switch to control its entire catalogue.
Turn PLA Basic, Matte and other stocked lines on or off with the Type switches.
Check or uncheck “On” for each colour. Edit customer names, internal filament names, HEX values, SKUs and extra prices, then save the catalogue.

See every manufacturer in one compact list. Each Brand switch enables or disables its catalogue; expand a brand to manage its filament types and colours.
05 / ENABLE YOUR TOOLKIT
Check or uncheck “Enable extension”, then save. Disabling an extension retains its saved settings and product data.

Offer named colour combinations and import coloured 3MF presets.
Add size, style or pack options with WooCommerce pricing, SKU and stock.
Set model faces, bounding areas, fonts, text size and optional placement.
Review saved configurations, navigate orders, update status and export CSV details.
Generate a customer-coloured slicer project from a compatible source. Requires Order Management.
3DPC Core and the Customization Engine are always enabled. Clip Art and SVG & Logo modules shown in the backend are marked Coming Soon and are not included in this beta. See the $10,000 Clip Art and $20,000 SVG funding milestones; printable geometry is planned at $40,000.
06 / BUILD YOUR FIRST PRODUCT
Follow the actual Product Wizard below. Move through the five steps to see each page’s controls and what to set up.
Select a single colour for the whole model or independent colours for multiple parts. Enable only the optional tools this product needs: named colourways, variations and text customization. Set a maximum processing time if you want production deadlines.
Single colour or multipart · Optional tools · Processing time

Upload a Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer 3MF, a single-colour STL, or a ready-made GLB. The processing stages read the source, decode the model, build and save the GLB, then detect its parts. Rebuild, replace or restore the source from the same screen.
3MF / STL / GLB · Automatic processing · Part detection

Select a part in the model, give it a customer-facing label and choose its starting colour. Decide whether it is customizable, whether a choice is required, and which enabled filament colours customers may select. Named colourways and product variations appear when enabled.
Part labels · Default colours · Allowed colours · Optional colourways

When text customization is enabled, select and lock a model face, then define a rectangle, circle or polygon area. Set the default text, character limit, allowed fonts and placement controls. Text is a live visual preview and saved production reference; this beta does not generate printable text geometry.
Surface selection · Area bounds · Fonts · Placement controls

Check the source model, generated GLB, configured parts and optional tools in the final review. Publish the wizard, then use “Make product from 3D model” to open its linked WooCommerce product and finish your store listing.

07 / FROM ORDER TO PRINT
Keep the chosen colours, configuration ID and production deadline attached to the order. Then take the customer’s choices back to the slicer.
Search configured orders and filter their status. Open an order to review its configured products, selected colours and remaining production time.

Production 3MF export requires a compatible original Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer project. It applies saved colour choices while preserving the model and slicer project structure. Review printer, filament and print settings before slicing. Text customization remains a visual reference in this beta.

YOUSSEF HASSANIEN 3D Mieks · Creator of 3DPC
I’m building 3D Product Configurator to make selling customizable prints more practical: fewer repetitive product setups, clearer customer choices, and order information that carries through to production.
The campaign is the next step in that work. I’ll share development progress, compatibility findings and any changes to the delivery plan along the way.

Independent makers, print farms, and stores selling physical 3D-printed products. It connects customer colour choices with the information you need to produce their order.
The WooCommerce plugin is a working beta, shown in the live demo. The separate Shopify app is now installed and tested in a development store. Public distribution and Shopify approval are still being prepared. Your licence covers one active store on your chosen platform.
Yes. The WooCommerce beta supports 3MF workflows, including painted regions and imported colourways, along with STL and GLB models. Production 3MF export works with compatible Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer source projects.
Text currently works as a visual preview and saved production reference. The CA$40,000 stretch goal is Boolean 3MF preparation for text, clip art and SVG, turning personalization into printable model geometry. This is planned development and is not included in the current beta.
The proposed founding structure has three annual tiers and three lifetime tiers for one active store, with core customization, standard updates and support. Prices shown above are USD references. Final CAD pledge amounts, quantities, platform eligibility, licence duration and ongoing service terms will be confirmed in the Kickstarter reward descriptions before launch.
The Kickstarter campaign is planned to begin on November 15, 2026, subject to project approval. The Kickstarter campaign link will be added here when it is available. For now, join the launch email list to receive the announcement.
The cumulative goals are CA$5,000 for the initial release, CA$10,000 for Clip Art, CA$20,000 for SVG, and CA$40,000 for Boolean 3MF preparation for text, clip art and SVG. These are funding targets, not pledge prices. Extension delivery timing will be confirmed separately.
3DPC is digital software for your store. You provide your own models or models you have permission to sell, your printer, filament and production setup. Hardware, physical products, model libraries and third-party commercial model rights are not included. Demonstration models are shown with permission.
Check the final reward terms, your store platform and your model workflow. Compatibility and performance vary with model complexity, themes and hosting. Colour-configured 3MF export requires a compatible source slicer project; review exported files and printer settings before printing.
The campaign is planned to start on November 15, 2026 and run for 60 days. Initial delivery is targeted for January 2027, within 10 days after the campaign ends. Any unlocked extensions have separate delivery timelines. Shopify distribution remains subject to approval.
